The summer in Bibione: beach, fun and events

To inaugurate the summer season 2010, all tourists and guests of the hotels and apartments in Bibione are invited to the May Festival. This party takes place for the first year in the seaside resort and it has the aim to become a fixed appointment of every bathing season’s opening, as the Septemberfest is the symbol of the closing.

The May Festival will take place the 26th and 27th of May in Piazza Mercato. In the evening, at the crossing of Via Orsa Maggiore, tourists and residents of Bibione can enjoy typical products with a beautiful background music under a big white stand. The choice to bring the festival in these two days is not accidental, but it was thought to offer the good local dishes to tourists that crowd the beach of Bibione for the Whit Sunday. This feast falls during the weekend before and it is very important for German and Austrian who also enjoy longer holidays and they spend them on the beaches of the upper Adriatic Sea like Bibione.

In addition to the sun and to the beautiful landscape, tourists can enjoy also a fantastic and funny festival with the residents of Bibione. Besides the typical dishes and very good wines of the area, the festival offers also music with orchestra, ballroom and also the moment for karaoke! To allow the guests of Bibione to taste the dishes of the May Festival and to appreciate the delicious, prices will be very low. In this way the cost is small, but the result in term of goodness, authenticity and fun will be very high.

Unlike Septemberfest, the May Festival is open to all. Also here guests of the agencies participating in the consortium will receive a voucher at the moment of the arrival in villas and apartments of Bibione, but also all the other guests of the seaside resort and residents can participate. It is not necessary to have a particular voucher as happens for the festival which concludes the bathing season from 27 years.

The May Festival is an important moment for the entire beach of Bibione, with the participation of tourists and inhabitants in two evenings of fun and good food, to inaugurate at the best the summer season 2010.

Gastronomic Cycling Tour: typical food and wines

Although summer is over and the beach and the apartments of Bibione are closed, the surrounding district offers also the chance to enjoy the first autumn days with special events.

One of these is the Gastronomic Cycling Tour in Cesarolo, a typical town few kilometres far from Bibione, that will take place Sunday, October the 11th. Through the streets of the little town, amateur cyclists and lovers of the good food will visit the places of memory and at each stop they will taste typical dishes and wines of the region.

The Gastronomic Cycling Tour is also a “way of memory” because people will go through houses and buildings that made the history of this little town and at each stop it will find the specialities of “grandparents” with seasonal products. An amusing day with good food for all people, but also a day to not forget the places and flavours that accompanied the life of the inhabitants of Cesarolo and of the beach of Bibione.

During the past few years these events, that join the passion for the bicycles with the tasting of local products, have been very successful. These events allow to spend a pleasant outdoors day discovering the beauty of the nature or of the small towns with their history and their typical dishes and wines.

The Gastronomic Cycling Tour will take place Saturday, October the 11th at 9.30 a.m. from the church square of Cesarolo.
