Bibione: a lot of fun for the White Night

The beach of Bibione is ready to face the most important day of the entire summer season: Ferragosto.

The firs event of the evening is the parade of vintage cars and motorcycles in Viale Aurora at 7.00 p.m. and in Bibione Pineda at 11.30 p.m., while in the central Piazzale Zenith they will arrive already in the morning at 7.00. One hundred vintage cars that made the history of car and motorcycle touches the main places of resort, giving all tourists the chance to admire these two- and four-wheeled jewels.

For the music lovers, from 9.30 p.m. Piazza Keplero and Piazza Fontana offer two live concerts. And around 11.00 p.m. is the time of Ferragosto fireworks in Piazzale Zenith. Colourful, bright and always fascinating, the fireworks will capture the eyes of all tourists, adults and children. Naturally it is possible to admire the show also from the apartments of Bibione, like the Residence Columbia. Its guests can easily watch the fireworks from the large terraces in all apartments furnished with table and chairs.

Ferragosto in Bibione offers shows and events also during the day. In addition to the first meeting of vintage cars and motorcycles at 7.00 a.m. in Piazzale Zenith, it will be present also the sport on the sand with the Quicksand Bibione CUP, beach tennis competition for under 14. The Beach Village in Piazzale Zenith is the place of this beach tennis competition, where protagonists are young boys who love this sport.

Also this year the beach of Bibione opens the season of Cinema Estate (Summer Cinema): every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening, open air cinema under the stars of the beautiful seaside resort.

Big news regarding the locations of the Summer Cinema for this season. Every evening films are shown in different places, like Lido dei Pini, Spa area, Lido del Sole Church Park and Bibione Pineda, covering so the entire city. It will be easier for tourists reach the nearest cinema, both if they are accommodate in the apartments of Residence Columbia in Bibione centre and in a camping in Bibione Pineda.

The big event in Bibione

The sports events follow each other on the beach of Bibione.

After the first stage of the Beach Volley Marathon, the fitness meeting and a few hours from the the beginning of the Beach Rugby Festival, the seaside resort gets ready for one of the most important events of the summer 2009: the Beach Tennis Italian Championship.

The Beach Arena, in front of the central Zenith Square, will be the court of a lot of athletes, that from the 25th to the 28th of June will compete for the prestigious national trophy on the Bibione beach.

Like for the other contests, organizers are sure that a big audience will take part in this event, both tennis fans and curious tourists. Certainly it will be a big opportunity to follow closely this new version of tennis on the golden sand of Bibione and also to have fun with the concert of the group Zero Assoluto. Beach Tennis 2009 will be characterized by the presence of Radio 101, partner of the event, that offers this free concert Friday 26th of June in Zenith Square.

Guests of the Residence Columbia can easily reach the Beach Arena and follow both the beach tennis matches and take part until late at night in the concert and in all other activities promoted by the seaside resort. A thrilling Easter, characterized by motors and sand, a combination that has had a big success in Bibione also last year with the Beach Motor Race. For this reason the seaside resort offers again its wide beach for a new and exciting motorcycle race, this time with Quads. Speed, jumps, breathtaking bends and motors will liven up the beach of Bibione for two days. The Bibione Pineda Trophy offers also the chance to tourists and participants to have fun in the evening of the 12th: from 8 pm aperitif, great barbecue and concert on the beach for all people with the cover band „Nuovo fronte del Vasco“.

The beach of Bibione

The appointment with the Beach Volley Marathon comes again on the Bibione beach, in the Beach Arena near the famous spa.

Thanks to the big participation of athletes and fans, also this summer the most famous volley marathon of the Venetian coast offers two events to mark the opening and the closing of the summer season. The first appointment will be from Friday the 22nd to Sunday the 24th of May, while the second will be from Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th of September. After the very good experience of the double marathon made the last summer, the organizers decided to offer it again this year with a more rich programme.

Both in May and in September, the 150 grounds of the Beach Arena will create two heated championships offering a different contest. Both professional athletes and amateurs can take part in the marathon and that’s the secret of the success: the involvement of all volleyball’s fans, from famous volleyball players to fans that meet together on the beach of Bibione to spike the ball with friends.

Thanks to the two different contest, the Beach Volley Marathon collected last year 1748 teams and 8000 participants. Numbers that organizers ensure to repeat in a few months. The leagues are 2×2 men, 2×2 women, 3×3 men, 3×3 women and 4×4 mixed.

After a full day on the grounds, the beach of Bibione waits participants and organizers for the most amusing aperitif of the seaside resort: Spritz Party on the Beach. From 11.30 pm the party of the Beach Volley Marathon moves to the disco with the Disco Party. A lot of music, dance and fun for those who have energy to spend. And after a refreshing rest in the hotels and apartments of Bibione, everybody is ready in the early morning at Beach Arena for another exciting day of volleyball.
